Statistics repository

About The Statistics Repository

This is a repository of basic and advanced statistical materials to give you a starting point when you need to use a particular technique. You want to do a meta-analysis but don't know where to start? Start here!

Topics are organised by approximate level of difficulty.

  • If you are studying at the undergraduate level, most of the relevant material can be found either in the Introductory Topics or Intermediate Topics tabs.
  • For fourth year students and above, you should review the introductory and intermediate topics to make sure you have a good understanding of the relevant techniques before progressing to the advanced topics.
  • A particular analytic method may be covered at all three levels, but more difficult or advanced aspect will obviously be dealt with only under the Advanced Topics tab.

This repository was originally set up by Mark Horswill and is contributed to by the statistics and methodology lecturers in the School of Psychology at the University of Queensland (including Winnifred Louis, Natalie Loxton, Jason Tangen, Mark Horswill, and Janine Lurie). It is currently maintained by Aarti Iyer and Blake McKimmie. This repository will grow with time until it becomes a sprawling knowledge feast of statistical mayhem.
